Established 30 years ago, The Press Gallery has had a longstanding, established presence in Edmonton, with all the right foundations for strong market presence - eco-friendly procedures, free pick-up and delivery, recognizable and friendly employees, and reliable, high quality service. The company was aquired by Next Equities in 2017, which required an examination of the current presention of the company.

My contributions included Art Direction and Brand Strategy.

The focus of the rebrand was cleanliness. The new logo wanted to keep some measures of familiarity from the original - namely, the color scheme and "suited" mechanic.

It was important to present a logo with sharp lines without creases and bright whites to elicit as much of a pristine aesthetic as possible. The triangle shape is emblematic - a type of way to recognize its own tenure of quality for decades - while doubling as a means to serve as a geotag arrow on maps and collateral. Future considerations allow the triangle shape to be re-formatted into other types of clothing other than suits, such as dresses, carpets, or gowns.
