On November 28, 2020, our families were able to come together in Old Westbury, Long Island for an intimate and wonderful Nikkah that made us all feel blessed. Unfortunately, COVID meant that we were unable to celebrate with any of you in attendance. In lieu of a formal reception later this year, we decided to host an iftar during Ramadan, serving as a true introduction of us as a married couple to those we're closest with. We hope you can all join us for this iftar on April 30, 2021 and celebrate the Malik and Farooqui union.
Looking forward to seeing you all! And a special thank you to Iqra Shahbaz (@milesfrom) for capturing our Nikkah.

Thank you!
The proposal was a surprise video premiered to Dinha right before the Nikkah. It brought back RE/DIAL, including covertly captured footage of our time together and edited to an original track composed by Amaad Bhatti (@amaadbhatti) blending samples from Frank Ocean, Ludovico Einaudi, Kanye West, and more. The video's spliced with dozens of references to pop culture that reflected our relationship up until the Nikkah. Thank you, Jazib (@jazib24) for capturing footage where Ali couldn't.
And of course, what would this page be without photographs?
